A Pastoral Assistants (PA) is the eyes and ears of Fr John in the Parish! PAs are responsible for keeping in touch with a section of the congregation, usually allocated within the same small area of the parish.
Working singly or in pairs, PAs try to make regular visits to those who cannot come to church. They will contact or visit someone who has not been to church for a week or two, to see if they are OK and let them know they have been missed.
And, most importantly, a PA will pass on any particular concerns to Fr John. This is a very valuable ministry at St Martin's and if you would like to be involved, please have a word with Fr John or Kathleen Damant.
